                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 1450 VANCE
                   ROAD, BEING OFF THE NORTHEAST LINE OF VANCE
                   ROAD AT VAN NESS ROAD FROM O-1 OFFICE ZONE TO
                   R-3 RESIDENTIAL ZONE.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 1450 Vance Road, being
                off the northeast line of Vance Road at Van Ness
                Road. Part of lots 13 and 14, block E, J. H. Street
                Subdivision, as shown by plat of record in plat
                book 13, page 29, ROHC; being part of the property
                described in deed book 2450, page 681, ROHC.  To
                find the true point of beginning of said parts of
                lots, start at the intersection of the northeast
                line of Vance Road with the northeast line of Van
                Ness Road (if extended southeastwardly), said point
                being the northwest corner of lot 14, block E, said
                J. H. Street Subdivision, thence southeast some 112
                feet (plat), or 107 feet (map) with the northeast
                line of said lot 14 to the true point of beginning,
                thence continuing southeast 360 feet with the
                northeast line of lot 14 to the northeast corner
                thereof, thence southwest 120 feet with the
                southeast line of lots 14 and 13 to a point in the
                southeast line of lot 13 located 20 feet northeast
                of the southeast corner of said lot 13, thence
                northwest 360 feet parallel to, and at all points
                20 feet northeast of, the southwest line of lot 13,
                thence northeast 120 feet parallel to the southeast
                line of lots 13 and 14 to the northeast line of lot
                14, the true point of beginning.  Tax Map No.
                158B-F-10 (part).
               
         from O-1 Office Zone to R-3 Residential Zone.
        
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         required by law.
